PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device for fuel-property estimation for internal combustion engine for correctly estimating concentration of a single component in a fuel. SOLUTION: In the device for fuel-property estimation for an internal combustion engine, concentration of a single component in a fuel is estimated/renewed, and the renewed concentration of the single component is stored. The device comprises a means for computing correction for A/F (air-fuel ratio) for correcting a fuel-injection amount on the basis of a detected value of an A/F-detection means, a means for computing a correction for constituent concentration of fuel on the basis of a single-component concentration recorded at present, a mens for computing a total amount correction for air/fuel ratio on the basis of an A/F correction amount and a fuel-property correction amount, and a means for estimating a single-component-concentration in the fuel for estimating a concentration of the single component-concentration in the latest fuel on the basis of a total correction for the correction for A/F ratio. Thus, a combustion control can be attained rapidly with a highly accurate estimation value, consequently degradation of exhaust and drivability can be held to a minimum.
