PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image reading apparatus which can transfer a read image to a right party when transferring the image to an information processor. SOLUTION: Addresses of clients, namely, of personal computers 2, 3 over a network are confirmed and it is confirmed that operators of the clients are right recipient of the image, the image is then transferred.
