<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the installation cost of a desulfurization plant and the processing cost thereof. <P>SOLUTION: The desulfurization plant 1 is provided with a heat exchanger 2, a desulfurization fan 3, an outside air introducing duct 4, a duct switching valve 5, a cooling tower 6, an absorber 7 and a concentrator 8. The outside air introducing duct 4 is an air supply pipe installed in the flow passage of an exhaust gas of the upstream of the desulfurization fan 3 and introducing the outside air, and provided with the duct switching valve 5 switching the outside air introducing duct 4 therein. The desulfurization plant 1 increases the amount of oxygen in the exhaust gas and the amount of sulfur trioxide (sulfuric anhydride) by introducing the outside air into the exhaust gas before mixing calcium carbonate, whereby since sulfur trioxide can be reacted with calcium carbonate, the direct generation of calcium sulfate only by an absorbing device makes an oxidization device unnecessary or simple, and suppresses the amount of an absorbent and neutralization agent used. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
