PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress noise generated by rotation of a motor compressor so as not to be harsh on the ears of an occupant inside a vehicle. SOLUTION: When a target rotational frequency IVOn is an upper limit value IVOG or more, an inverter 17 stops the motor compressor 1 for a prescribed time in a state where a vehicle noise level becomes from a prescribed level or more to the prescribed level or less, and thereafter controls the motor compressor 1 so that the rotational frequency of the motor compressor 1 becomes the upper limit value IVOG. Thereby, since the rotational frequency can be controlled while dispensing with detection of a rotational position of the motor compressor 1 for the prescribed time to stop the motor compressor 1, when the target rotational frequency IVOn is the upper limit value IVOG or more, an actual rotational frequency IVR of the motor compressor 1 can be immediately reduced in the state where the vehicle noise level becomes from the prescribed level or more to the prescribed level or less.
