PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a software installation method that can reliably install an operation-tested module by describing, as module information, version information about OSs, version information about essential libraries dependent on modules, and operation test information about modules on the versions. SOLUTION: The software installation method for installing software in an information processing device has a step of reading out a module stored in a storage device, a step of reading out module information stored in the storage device, a step of acquiring information in the information processing device corresponding to the module information, and a determination step of determining whether the module information and the information corresponding to the module information are valid, so that the module can be installed after the determination step determines that it is an operation-tested, untested, or inoperable one.
