PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an automatically aligning/mold clamping device which can lower cost involved in the constituent members of a mold clamping device; shorten time required for the assembly and adjustment of each member; and keep the concentricity of a movable half and a cavity side half of a mold assembly at a high level and the parallelism between the parting face of the movable half and that of the cavity side half. SOLUTION: This device comprises the mold assembly 39 constituted of the cavity side half 36 and the movable half 35, between the parting faces of which a cavity is formed; a cavity side half supporting device with the cavity side half 36 mounted thereon; a movable half supporting device with the movable half 35 mounted thereon in the way it can rock; and a drive device which moves the movable half supporting device forward/backward.
