PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem that a conventional optical coupler can substantially neither send nor receive light if mutually opposite connection end surfaces shift in position or tilt.
SOLUTION: An optical coupler 12 is formed of an optically transparent material and has a 1st optical connection end surface 16, a tilt end surface 17 which is positioned on the opposite side from the 1st optical connection end surface 16 and continuously varies in the gap with the 1st optical connection end surface 16 in the circumferential direction of the 1st optical connection surface 16, a cylindrical part 18 which extends between the tilt end surface 17 and 1st optical connection end surface 16 and has an inner peripheral surface 18i and an outer peripheral surface 18o, and a 2nd optical connection end surface 13 which is formed at a step part 19 of the cylindrical part 18 where the tilt end surface 17 is discontinuous.
COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO&NCIPI
|
