<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hot water supply device with a safe capsule type heat storage unit. <P>SOLUTION: The hot water supply device comprises a refrigerant circuit 21, the heat storage unit 31, and a hot water supply circuit 60. The refrigerant circuit 21 constitutes a heat pump in which refrigerant is circulated. The heat storage unit 31 stores a refrigerant heat transfer pipe 42 for the refrigerant circuit 21 and a hot water supply heat transfer pipe 52 for the hot water supply circuit 60 and also stores a plurality of heat storage material capsule 33 whose capsule body is filled with a heat storage material for absorbing the heat of the refrigerant in the refrigerant heat transfer pipe 42 and releasing the heat to city water in the hot water supply heat transfer pipe 52. The heat storage capsule 33 is formed in a spherical shape. As a result, the heat storage material is not mixed with the refrigerant or the city water even when the capsule body is broken. The degradation of the heat transfer performance of the heat storage material and the refrigerant is suppressed by the contact of the heat storage material capsule 33 with the refrigerant heat transfer pipe 42 and the hot water supply heat transfer pipe 52. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO&NCIPI |
