<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide mobile telephone equipment in which a key back light or a liquid crystal display back light is also available for reporting an incoming call, and the incoming call can be reported without providing an incoming call LED. <P>SOLUTION: The mobile telephone equipment is provided with a key back light 2, a control circuit 7, a photo-sensor 8, a display unit 5 and the like and when the photo-sensor 8 detects that it is dark in the circumference (in the place for use), the key back light 2 is continuously turned off even when a key is pressed. When there is an incoming call, the key back light 2 is blinked to report the incoming call.
