POROUS HYDROGEL, PRODUCTION METHOD THEREFOR, AND MICROORGANISM CARRIER USING THE SAME

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prepare a porous hydrogel having excellent properties of carrying a microorganism. SOLUTION: The porous hydrogel is obtained by the followings: a copolymer (A) is produced by random copolymerization of (a) ethylene oxide and (b) propylene oxide so as to have a ratio in the range of 50/50-90/10 on the basis of the weight ratio of (a)/(b); after a terminal isocyanate group-containing polyurethane resin (C) is produced by reacting a liquid polyol containing at least 70 wt.% of the copolymer (A) with a polyisocyanate (B), water is added to the resin (C), followed by freezing the resultant gel at a temperature of≤0°C, and subsequently it is thawed.
