PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make a dive computer perform communication at an optimum communication speed (if possible, fastest communication speed) in available communication speeds. SOLUTION: When receiving a communication start request from a personal computer 120, the dive computer 10 performs communication at a communication speed for initial communication and transmits the information of an ordinary communication speed which is a communication speed actually used for the communication, to the personal computer 120, and thereafter selects the ordinary communication speed as the communication speed at which the communication is actually performed. Or the dive computer 10 and the personal computer 120 discriminate the highest communication speed in cooperation with each other and select the highest communication speed as the communication speed at which the communication is actually performed.
