PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a very compact hinge of a portable folding apparatus capable of realizing a very stable temporary fixed condition at an adequate angle over a fully closed condition and a fully opened condition in a folding mechanism of the portable folding apparatus such as a cellular phone. SOLUTION: This hinge is composed of a case body A having a cylindrical part 1, a storage chamber 2 like a circumferential inner wall formed in the cylindrical part 1, and a plurality of fitted parts 3 formed along the axial direction of the storage chamber 2, an elastic member B having a fitting end part 6 on one end side in the longitudinal direction of an elastic expansible part 5, and a turn body C having a support frame part 8 on which the elastic member B is supported and a hinge shaft part 9. The elastic member B is supported on the support frame part 8 of the turn body C and is stored in the storage chamber 2 in such a manner that the hinge shaft part 9 protrudes. The elastic member B is turned in accordance with the turn of the turn body C, and the fitting end part 6 and the fitted part 3 are fitted to fix the turn body C temporarily.
