PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a support body that elastically supports a sound and heat insulation cover on an exhaust manifold, improves assemblability, and prevents miss assembling. SOLUTION: The support body comprises a grommet 3 having a cylindrical part 3b into which a fastening bolt 3b is inserted, a flange 3c extending outwardly in the radial direction at one end of the cylindrical part 3b, and a small diameter step section 3d at the other end, a washer 4 engaged and inserted into the small diameter step section 3d, and a pair of ring-like elastic bodies 2 that are previously adhered to one end surface of the washer 4 and the inner surface of the flange 3c by an ultraviolet curing resin 9 and are formed by knitting a stainless steel wire. The washer 4 is fixed to the grommet 3 by a caulking section 3a formed by plastically deforming the small diameter step section 3d outwardly in the radial direction, and the sound and heat insulation cover 5 is supported in a grappled state between the elastic bodies 2.
