PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a simple-structured standing/sitting assist chair dispensing with switch and lever operations and solving problems such that persons who feel inconvenience in standing/sitting due to enfeebled legs/arms by aging often use the chair under the state where the posture is not sufficiently prepared to the movement of the chair due to its complicated structure and the switch and lever operations, and the chair has poor usability, is expensive and promotes uneasiness in use. SOLUTION: This standing/sitting assist chair is so formed that guide grooves 5 diagonally engraved in the left/right inside the front legs respectively movably support left/right cylindrical projections 4 in the front part of a seat face (Figure 3), a support mechanism vertically moving according to changes in the body weight are attached to the lower part of the seat face via metal fittings 3 capable of varying the attachment angle (Figure 4) and the other one is movably attached to the center of a crosspiece 10 of the chair by metal fittings 3 (Figure 5) in an approximately vertical state.
