PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To supply a certain quantity of water into an electrolytic tank without using a liquid level sensor having the problem of durability, in a washing machine which produces electrolytic water in an electrolytic tank different from a washing tank, and utilizes the electrolytic water for bactericidal rinsing and the like by supplying it into the washing tank. SOLUTION: In the upper part of the electrolytic tank 30 provided with electrodes 28 for electrolysis, a mixing room 21 having a supply water pipe 23 for introducing tap water, an overflow pipe 24 for discharging excess water to the washing tank, a salt putting part 25 for putting salt, and a water injection part 26 for pouring water down at a certain rate by a siphon effect is arranged. Water introduced through the supply water pipe 23 flows down from the water injection part 26 together with salt into the electrolytic tank 30; while water above the lower end of the overflow pipe 24 is discharged and so the water storage quantity in the electrolytic tank 30 is determined by water supply time regardless of the supply water flow rate to the mixing room 21.
