<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a catheter assembly which is easy to operate in the dilation treatment or the like of an angiostenosis region and reduces the burden of a patient. <P>SOLUTION: The catheter assembly 1 is constituted of a catheter 2 and a guide wire 10. The catheter 2 is equipped with a flexible catheter main body 3 having a lumen formed therein and the first hub 7 provided to the proximal end of the catheter main body 3 in a freely detachable manner and having a hole communicating with the lumen. Side holes 4a and 4b which eject a liquid in the lumen are formed to the distal end of the catheter main body 3. The guide wire 10 is equipped with a wire main body constituted of a linear member which can be inserted in the lumen and the second hub 16 provided to the proximal end of the wire main body in a freely detachable manner.
