<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a connecting section for a plastic insulation power cable which can simply switch a power system in a short time. <P>SOLUTION: The connecting section for the plastic insulation power cable includes a conductor connecting tube 13 disposed between both conductor leader bars 14, a rubber stress cone 25 disposed between an insulating layer 20 mounted so as to surround the conductor connecting tube 13 and a cable insulator 12, a high-voltage shielding electrode 26 disposed at the distal end of the rubber stress cone, and conductive disconnecting members 16, 18 for electrically disconnecting both the conductor leader bars 14 by moving the conductor leader bars 14 at the disconnecting time by electrically connecting between the conductor leader bars 14 and the conductor connecting tube 13 at an energizing time.
