PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a manufacturing method of an organic electroluminescent element with damage on an organic material layer reduced and showing an excellent durability. SOLUTION: The manufacturing method of the organic electroluminescent element comprises a process of preparing a first laminated body 11a made by fitting a luminescent sub-layer through an electrode layer on a substrate and a second laminated body 11b made by fitting an organic luminescent material layer through the electrode layer on the substrate, a process of making organic solvent vapor in contact with the surface of at least either the luminescent sub-layer of the first laminated body or the organic luminescent material layer of the second laminated body, and a process of jointing the luminescent sub-layer of the first laminated body and the organic luminescent layer of the second laminated body by superposing the first laminated body with the second laminated body under pressure so that the luminescent sub-layer of the first laminated body and the organic luminescent layer 15 of the second laminated body come in contact with each other.
