MANUFACTURING METHOD OF MAGNETIC DISK

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a magnetic disk in which occurrence of thermal asperity difficulty is prevented and which is especially suitable for an LUL system. SOLUTION: At least a magnetic layer 3 is formed on a disk substrate 1. Then, a carbonaceous protective layer 4 is formed by a plasma CVD method employing mixture gas of hydrocarbonaceous gas and nitrogen gas under the environment in which temperature of the substrate 1 having the layer 3 exceeds 200°C.
