PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cleaning member sustaining wiping effect even when the wiping operation is repeated a large number of times, and to prevent deterioration of the surface at an ejection opening and resulting degradation of a recording image. SOLUTION: Since a wiper blade 512, as a cleaning member, contains antistatic agent, surface at the ejection opening of a recording head is not charged by wiping and aggregation or adhesion is reduced in the vicinity of the ejection opening.
