PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a segment for expanding a width of a circular segment ring while securing water cut-off performance. SOLUTION: The segment ring 1 having the width expanding segment composed of a fixing member 3 and a slide member 5 arranged on both sides is assembled. A plate-like member 9 is welded to the fixing member 3 for cutting off water between the fixing member 3 and the slide member 5. The slide member 5 is fixed to a recessed part 15 arranged on the inner peripheral surface 13 side of the plate-like member 9 by using a bolt 39. After expanding the width of the segment ring 1 by sliding the slide member 5 along the plate-like member 9 fixed to the fixing member 3 by removing this bolt 39, the slide member 5 is fixed again to the recessed part 15 of the plate-like member 9 by the bolt 39.
