PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vertical load test method for an existing pile performed for confirming support performance of a pile whether or not the existing pile used for an existing building can be reused as the pile of a new building when reconstructing the building. SOLUTION: The edge of the existing pile of a test object and a foundation building frame of the existing building is cut, and a jack is set at an upper end part of the existing pile, and reaction is taken to a vicinal existing building frame, and the support performance is measured by applying a vertical load to the existing pile by the jack.
