<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a polarizing plate to which a protective film is stuck with a sufficient adhesive strength without any problem such as appearance failure even in the case of using a resin film having low water vapor permeability, and to provide an optical member and a liquid crystsl display device using the polarizing plate. <P>SOLUTION: The polarizing plate is obtained by sticking the protective films to a polarizer consisting of polyvinyl alcohol-based resin film, which is uniaxially stretched and in which iodine or dichromatic dye is adsorbed, through an adhesive consisting of composition which essencially consists of epoxy resin without containing aromatic ring. The polarizing plate can be manufactured by the method by which an uncured epoxy resin composition is applied on at least one side of the polarizer, the protective film is stuck thereto, then the composition is cured to form the protective film. The optical member consists of a laminated body of the polarizing plate and an optical layer (e.g. a retardation plate) having another optical function.
