PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To completely prevent the temperature of a continuously regenerative particulate filter from rising beyond its allowance value, in an exhaust emission control device which eliminates particulate (PM) of a particulate substance contained in exhaust gas discharged from an internal combustion engine such as a diesel engine.
SOLUTION: The exhaust emission control device comprises a temperature detection means for measuring the temperature of a first filter means equipped with a particulate filter of a continuously regenerative type; and a control means which controls a flow passage switching means so that exhaust gas may flow into the first filter means when a temperature signal from the temperature detection means is inputted and the inputted temperature is below a predetermined value, and which controls the flow passage switching means so that exhaust gas may flow into a second filter means when the inputted temperature is above the predetermined value.
COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO&NCIPI
|
