<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize a touch panel with excellent display quality at a low cost by preventing the occurrence of interference fringes (Newton ring) by reflected light. <P>SOLUTION: The touch panel comprises upper and lower substrates with a pair of transparent electrodes disposed thereon, the upper and lower substrates being opposite to each other with the transparent electrode side inside while keeping a prescribed space, and mutually stuck through a sealant.
