PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a communication terminal capable of preventing an invasion of privacy caused by allowing a user to accidentally notify a caller ID without giving troubles to the user as much as possible. SOLUTION: A facsimile machine 100 connected to a PSTN, an ISDN, or the like for performing number display services sets the caller ID to "unreport" for calling when a telephone number is inputted by a ten-key pad 11 at an operation section 1. Contrarily, when the telephone number is inputted by a ten-key pad 15 or an abbreviated key 16, the facsimile machine 100 sets the caller ID to "report" for calling. Additionally, the facsimile machine 100 sets the caller ID to "report" for calling when the telephone number corresponds to the telephone number registered for the one-touch key 15 or the abbreviated key 16 even if the telephone number is inputted by the ten-key pad 11 at the operation section 1.
