PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable to change the resistance to a desired resistance in a short period of time even in a case that applied voltage is restricted, when the resistance of a thick film resistor is adjusted by pulse trimming. SOLUTION: In the resistance adjustment method of a thick film resistor, resistance is changed and adjusted by applying a voltage between a pair of electrodes 10, 11 of a thick film resistor 1 in which a thick film resistor 20 is electrically connected with a pair of the electrodes 10, 11. In the method, a first process wherein resistance of the thick film resistor 20 is changed by applying a voltage in a first direction to a pair of the electrodes 10, 11, and a second process wherein resistance of the thick film resistor 20 is changed by continuously applying the voltage in a second direction opposite to the first direction to a pair of the electrodes 10, 11, are installed.
