PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for manufacturing a battery, where it is easy to check a state of the wound exterior label in the side of the battery and covering states of ends of the exterior label in a top face and a bottom face of the battery, when having wound the exterior label around the battery, and to align a direction of the battery. SOLUTION: In the method for manufacturing the battery with the exterior label 5, a fluorescent agent is applied to one part of the exterior label to form fluorescent parts 5a, 5b and whether or not the exterior label is disposed in a desired position of the battery is inspected by detecting the fluorescence parts.
