SCROLL TYPE COMPRESSOR, AND METHOD OF MANUFACTURING SCROLL USED FOR THE COMPRESSOR

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a scroll type compressor and a method of manufacturing a scroll used for the compressor capable of preventing or reducing the wear of a coating caused by interference with a spiral wall of the other scroll due to the thermal deformation of the scroll. SOLUTION: This scroll type compressor is provided with a fixed scroll and a turning scroll respectively having spiral walls engaged with each other. The turning scroll is put in turning motion relative to the fixed scroll to compress a fluid taken into a compression chamber between both scrolls. The turning scroll 20 is provided with a scroll base material 23 having a spiral wall part 24 forming the main part of the spiral wall 22, and the coating 25 covering the spiral wall part 24. The coating 25 is formed with escape parts 27, 29 avoiding interference with the spiral wall 12 of the fixed scroll caused by the thermal deformation of the scroll. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO&NCIPI
