PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a toner having excellent low-temperature fixability and no problem on anti-offset properties and storage stability, free of surface stain and toner scattering even in long-term use, and capable of obtaining a good image, and to providing a low-temperature fixing method using the toner. SOLUTION: In the toner containing at least a binder resin and a metallic material, the binder resin contains a crystalline polyester resin and an amorphous resin, and the metallic material is a black metallic material having a saturation magnetization of≤50 emu/g. Preferably, L<SP>*</SP>, a<SP>*</SP>and b<SP>*</SP>values of the metallic material are≤15, -1.0 to +1.0 and -1.0 to +1.0, respectively. The metallic material is preferably an iron oxide-containing material containing 10-45 wt.% of titanium based on the amount of iron atoms and having a specific surface area of 1.5-30 m<SP>2</SP>/g and a true specific gravity of 4.0-5.0 g/cm<SP>3</SP>.
