COOLANT AND MACHINING EQUIPMENT USING THE SAME

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a coolant that prevents the construction members from causing crevice corrosion in a machining equipment and to provide machining equipment that uses the coolant. SOLUTION: This coolant is a solution type one including surfactant as a main component and additionally includes≥0.345 wt.% of sodium nitrite in order to prevent the crevice corrosion in the machining equipment. This machining equipment uses the coolant composition and the carbon steel for machine structure use having 0.07-0.61 wt.% carbon content is particularly effective against crevice corrosion.
