DISK DRIVE AND DISK CARTRIDGE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a disk drive and a disk cartridge with which the rotating mechanism of a recording disk is simplified and it becomes possible to make the recording disk perform stable rotation. SOLUTION: A disk cartridge 2 is loadable and unloadable to the disk drive. The disk cartridge 2 contains: a hub rotor part 22 which is supported by a bearing 26 to be freely rotatable and on whose circumferential part a magnet 23 and a recording disk 24 are provided; and a plurality of yokes 27 which are opposed to the magnet 23 in a cartridge case 21. The disk drive consists of; a magnetomotive force generating unit which is equipped with a plurality of armature coils 14 and a plurality of cores 13 around which the plurality of armature coils 14 are wound; and the disk cartridge 2. The plurality of cores 13 of the magnetomotive force generating unit can be magnetically connected to the plurality of yokes 27 of the disk cartridge 2 by being abutted on them.
