PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a POS system enabling an inexperienced salesclerk to wait on a customer like an experienced salesclerk, by storing customer information while protecting customer privacy. SOLUTION: The POS system comprises a commodity data storage means for registering and storing commodity data, a commodity data selection means for selecting the commodity data which a customer wants to store as history data among the commodity data registered by the commodity data registry means, a history data storage means for storing the selected commodity data as the history data, and a display means for reading out the history data from the history data storage means and displaying the read out data, and thereby stores the customer information while protecting customer privacy.
