PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a cooler for an optical fiber drawer, which cools a primary-resin-coated optical fiber so as to prevent the condensate of volatiles from the optical fiber coating resin from downwardly dripping through the apparatus. SOLUTION: The optical fiber drawer is provided with a cooling cylinder 22 which has an optical fiber passage and cools the primary-resin-coated optical fiber while it descends through the passage 22a and a drip receiver 24 which is connected with the lower end of the cylinder 22 so as for the optical fiber from the cooler to pass and leads and recovers the condensate from volatiles of the optical fiber coating resin which descends along the inside surface after adhesion to and condensation on the inside surface of the passage 22a.
