PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make a rotary plate driving device 6 of a refuse collecting vehicle compact. SOLUTION: This device 6 transmits rotation of a hydraulic motor 11 to the rotary plate 3 for scraping up refuse fed into a refuse feeding box 2 by reducing speed of the rotation via a worm 12 and a worm wheel 13. The device 6 is provided with a buffer 14 allowing axial moving of the worm 12 due to reverse when applying a force more than a prescribed value in the reverse direction to the rotary plate 3.
