PURPOSE: A cellular phone having a security function by using a fingerprint identification is provided to analyze a user's fingerprint to compare the analyzed fingerprint with stored data, and to determine whether to call according to the compared result, thereby preventing personal information inside a communication terminal from being copied or stolen. CONSTITUTION: A fingerprint sensor(10) senses a user's fingerprint, and converts the sensed fingerprint into an electrical signal to output the signal. An analog/digital converter(20) converts an analog signal inputted from the sensor(10) into a digital signal, and outputs the digital signal. A data ROM(30) stores user information. A key input unit(40) inputs a user command. A CPU(50) controls a cellular phone to be used, when the user's fingerprint is identical with stored data and the user information is the same. A transceiver(60) wirelessly transceives call details. A handset(70) is used for user interface. A display(80) displays an operated state.
