<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a reproducing device of a honeycomb filter capable of easily removing soot accumulating on a surface of a partition of the honeycomb filter at a low energy. <P>SOLUTION: This exhaust gas treating device 1 comprises the honeycomb filter 3 having a plurality of cells partitioned by the partition, and a plasma generating electrode 6 that is arranged so as to join to an exhaust system 8 on the upstream side of a case body 2, is formed of a pulse electrode 4 and a ground electrode 5 arranged face-to-face in an injection flow path 11 in which outside air 10 passes, and can generate non thermal plasma. The exhaust gas treating device 1 collects particulate material contained in exhaust gas 9 flowing into the case body 2 with the honeycomb filter 3, oxidizes nitrogen monoxide contained in the exhaust gas 9 to nitrogen dioxide with a radical formed of plasma, oxidizes, burns, and removes the particulate material collected and accumulated on the surface of the partition by the obtained nitrogen dioxide, and reproduces the honeycomb filter 3. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO&NCIPI |
