PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a control lever safety device for heavy equipment which prevents the operation of a working device even in the case of operating or touching a control lever in the engine running state of the equipment. SOLUTION: This control lever safety device for heavy equipment is provided with: an operating switch assembly 17 supporting a safety lever 13 horizontally and tilting the safety lever 13 downward when rotating a tilting lever 14, to cut off a power supply of a first limit switch 16 connected to the control lever 11; and a latch assembly 22 connecting a latch 20 fixed to a first support and connected to a load 18 connected movably in linkage with the control lever 11, detachably to a second support 19 mounted to a driver's seat 10, and tilting a console box 12 upward when rotating the tilting lever 14, to cut off a power supply of a second limit switch 21 connected to the control lever 11.
