PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of connecting superconductors which can improve electrical loss such as AC loss and resistance loss at a connection part of the superconductors and enhance mechanical strength of the connection part, and to provide a connection device. SOLUTION: A method of connecting the superconductors by which the ends of superconductors 1a, 1b housing a number of superconductive strands 2a, 2b in metal tubes 3a, 3b are connected with each other comprises the steps of removing portions of the metal tubes necessary for connecting the superconductors, inserting exposed superconductive strands into the strand insertion holes of connection terminals 6a, 6b, interposing first molten metals 10a, 10b in spaces between the connection terminals and the superconductive strands, heating them to compose the connection part, interposing a second molten metal 11 having a lower melting point than that of the first molten metal in a space between the connection terminals each other, and heating them to compose the connection part.
