PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To alternatively set any one of color filters of a plurality of colors by using a plurality of color filter carriers. SOLUTION: Light from a light source 12 is made incident on a time division color separation device 18. The light is color-separated by time division with a color ring set alternatively by matching or moving a reference point of sub-color wheels 14A and 14B of a time division color separation device 18. Each color light is made incident on a reflective display device 26 via a light guide 20, a condensing lens 22 and a mirror 24, and an amount of the light is changed by synchronizing with the color separation under control of a control unit 28 to be electrically controlled.
