PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a surface treatment agent for synthetic polymer films for imparting excellent antistatic properties and anticlouding properties to the synthetic polymer film and, in addition, excellent slipperiness without spoiling inherited physical properties of the synthetic film, a method for treating the surface of the synthetic film, and the surface treated synthetic polymer film provided with those properties. SOLUTION: The surface treatment agent for the synthetic films comprises a specific vinyl copolymer having an N-containing organic group in each side chain, and a lubricant, and contains those in a predetermined ratio.
