PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a production inhibitor for a secondary bile acid, reducing and removing the bile acid to reduce or eliminate the risk of carcinogenesis of colon cancer or the like. SOLUTION: Not only the inhibitor for the conversion from a primary bile acid (cholic acid and chenodeoxycholic acid) to a secondary bile acid (deoxycholic acid and lithocholic acid), containing anα-bonded galactose-containing oligosaccharide as an active ingredient but also a lactic bacterium-proliferating agent and an agent for reducing triglycerol content are provided. Not only raffinose but also melibiose, stachyose, verbascose or the like are used as the oligosaccharide. The oligosaccharide is extremely effective for reducing the carcinogenesis and the induction of onset of heart disease in combination with lactic bacterium-proliferating activities and triglycerol-reducing activities, based on a new mechanism of the oligosaccharide inhibiting the conversion of the primary bile acid to the secondary bile acid which has high carcinogenesis, and provides no particular problem in safety.
