PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the real rotation motion time from excessively deviating from the set time to an allowable level. SOLUTION: The rotary caldron is provided with a caldron body 1 as a container for storing foodstuff, caldron rotation mechanisms 2, 3 enabling a caldron body to rotate vertically in succession, a caldron rotation angle detection device 6 for detecting the angle of caldron rotation, a rotation controlling device 7 connected to the caldron rotation mechanism and the caldron rotation angle detection system, which controls the action of a caldron rotating mechanism. In the rotary caldron, rotation of the caldron is controlled in such a manner that it stop at a rotation stop angle as per predetermined angle when the rotation of caldron is stopped. The rotating speed of caldron is set to be changed, and when a set time that is a setting of a rotation acting time and rotation time are set, rotation control device 7 calculates a rotating speed, so that the set time gets through almost simultaneously with a rotation time where set rotations are completed and set rotation stop angle is obtained.
