Hydrocarbon cracking gas cooler is cleaned in two-stage process by combination of steam and oxygen in different ratios

Following a hydrocarbon cracking process, gas is surrendered to a cooling assembly that accumulates carbon residues that are removed in a two-stage cleaning process. In the first cleaning stage the cooling assembly is scoured by a combination of hot steam and oxygen. In a second stage, the assembly is again scoured by a combination of hot steam and oxygen, in which the proportion of oxygen is higher than in the first stage.
