<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a program efficiently extracting a predetermined number of images from a large amount of images for improving operability of a user and to provide a program making a computer execute the image extraction method. <P>SOLUTION: An image extraction device 100 executing this image extraction method divides a plurality of images matching image data stored in a folder of a HDD 106 into n groups, inputs the number of images to be extracted from each of the groups, inputs a favorite degree as an evaluation value of a user to the images matching the image data belonging to each of the groups, and extracts the predetermined number of images according to the inputted favorite degree.
