<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a gradation correction curve preparing method, a gradation correction curve preparing device and a gradation correction curve preparation program capable of improving the color reproducibility even in the case of performing UCR processing. <P>SOLUTION: This gradation correction curve preparing device is provided with a first gradation correction curve preparing part for preparing a first gradation correction curve on the basis of the density measured value obtained about a single patch and a density target value, a second gradation correction curve preparing part for preparing a second gradation curve on the basis of a measured value of a colorimetric value obtained about a gray patch and a target value of a the colorimetric value, a start position calculating part for respectively calculating start positions on the first and second gradation correction curves when gray components of mixed colors are started to be replaced with K in UCR processing, and a gradation correction curve combining part for preparing a third gradation correction curve obtained by smoothly connecting a part closer to a shadow side than the start position of the first gradation correction curve and a part closer to a highlight side than the start position of the second gradation correction curve. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO&NCIPI |
