<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an indwelling catheter with a hemostatic valve consisting of a single member, without much possibility to be a cause of an infectious disease and without much possibility of losing the function of the hemostatic valve. <P>SOLUTION: The indwelling catheter has a releasing tapered part 10 formed in the middle in the front/rear direction on the inner surface of a female connector 2 to be tapered toward the front, and the elastically deformable hemostatic valve 3 disposed on the inside of the releasing tapered part 10 in the female connector 2 and backward thereof to be slidable in the front/rear directions. In the indwelling catheter, the hemostatic valve 3 has a body 13, which is hollow with the front and rear ends opened to be elastically deformed inward in the radial direction by sliding the releasing tapered part 10 forward and energized backward by the resilience at the time of the elastic deformation, and an open/close part 14 integrally formed in the front end of the body 13, tapered to close the front end opening of the body 13, with the front end to be opened outward in the radial direction by the inward elastic deformation of the body 13 in the radial direction. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO&NCIPI |
