PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To create a look-up table for converting a color outside of a color area of a device into the color area of the device from the colorimetric result of a color patch printed by the device. SOLUTION: The colorimetric result of the color patch printed by the device is acquired, the color area of the device is specified from the colorimetric result (S501), and the look-up table for converting the color outside of the color area of the device into the color area of the device is created by using a method that is different for a portion on an achromatic color axis and a portion except for the achromatic color axis (S502-S505).
