CAM GRINDING AND POLISHING DEVICE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cam grinding and polishing device efficiently grinding and polishing a part of a cam outer peripheral surface required to be reduced in frictional force. SOLUTION: This cam grinding and polishing device 1 includes: a rotary driving unit 10 for driving a cam lobe 41 to rotate; a grinding wheel 22 as a grinding and polishing means 20 provided with an abrasive grain surface 21; and a pressing unit 30 for pressing the grinding wheel to the outer peripheral surface of the cam lobe. The pressing unit presses the grinding wheel to the outer peripheral surface of the cam lobe under a change in pressing force equivalent to a change in load applied to the cam lobe under the condition that the cam lobe is actually used. Thus, in grinding and polishing, bearing distribution equivalent to that in the condition of actually using the cam lobe can be obtained. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO&NCIPI
