<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method that flexibly determines an attitude function of a vocabulary item which comes out in a natural language document, and also to provide a system and a program therefor. <P>SOLUTION: The basic value of the vocabulary item is determined, and a CVS (a word or phrase which shifts the value by a context) in whose effective range the vocabulary item exists is identified. Then, the actual value of the vocabulary item is determined by adjusting the basic value based on the CVS.
